eChalk Wins Interactive Media Award
NEW YORK, NY - 08.09.10 - eChalk, the pioneer of web-based learning platforms for communication and collaboration in K-12 school communities, has been awarded "Best in Class" under the Education category by the Interactive Media Awards (IMA) Annual Competition for its new corporate website.
Entries are judged based on six criteria: design, content, feature functionality, usability, standards compliance and cross browser compatibility. The Best in Class award is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. It represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism online. eChalk received a score of 494 out of 500, including 99% for design and 100% for both content and feature functionality.
"As a company that provides websites and social networking resources for school communities, we take our online presence very seriously," said Paul Kuhne, Director of Marketing at eChalk. "We put a great deal of effort into making our website not only a place that provides a flavor of who we are and what we do, but also a valuable hub for teachers, parents and school leaders throughout the United States to explore social and learning platforms."
eChalk recently added several key features to their website. A short cartoon details the benefits of having so many communication and collaboration tools in one place and a new "Take a Tour" feature allows visitors to quickly understand all of eChalk's facets in just a few minutes. Visitors can check out sample sites, interviews with eChalk clients and interviews with eChalk staff members. Alternative navigation by stakeholder, a blog with videos and links to eChalk Nation and mainstream social media are also available.
