Why did you choose to work in education?

I love to show and tell. I was told early in my career that I had a gift for teaching. I chose to work in education because working in education is like being fully alive. It’s exciting and forever changing. What better career is there than to instruct children and see those little light bulbs in their eyes glow when they understand and ‘get it’? eChalk offers the opportunity to not only teach students and adults, but the chance to make a difference guiding educational professionals to integrate technology into the classroom, which ultimately benefits our children.

Describe the eChalk culture.

The eChalk culture is wonderful! I train teachers, administrators and other educational stakeholders how to use our product and every day, I am continuously learning myself! Unlike other places I’ve worked, I have the opportunity to share my eChalk spirit and beliefs all over the nation.

What do you like best about working at eChalk?

I love the fact that eChalk is a family of passionate learners. All of my fellow eChalkers are always ready to assist each other and learn from one another. It’s a satisfying feeling when your colleagues bring out the best in you because they believe in you and in each other. That goes way beyond the definition of teamwork— we’re a synergized family!

How would you describe eChalk customers?

As a Professional Learning Manager, I am convinced that I have the most fun! I have the opportunity to travel to many different school districts across the nation. I meet and collaborate with our customers first hand. I would describe our eChalk customers as devoted and vigorous change makers. Our schools work diligently to educate our youth. They seek out good instructional technology tools to assist with day-to-day instruction. When I’m on school campuses, I always hear that eChalk is great!

I love it when our new customers say, “Where has eChalk been all of my career?” Or when our veteran eChalk customers say, “I absolutely love eChalk!” I always feel so confident when I walk into our schools because I know as a company that we will take care of all of their online learning needs. Our customers are steadfast about developing 21st century lifelong learners and so is eChalk.

Describe your fellow eChalkers.

There are not enough words to describe my fellow eChalkers: committed, energetic, hard-working, diligent, humble and dynamic colleagues. The eChalk coalition cannot be tamed!

Is there one memory that stands out during the time you’ve worked at eChalk?

The most vivid memory I recall is my first day meeting all of the eChalkers in the New York office. They were all so genuine! I felt at ease at that very moment, as they made sure I was comfortable and satisfied with my experience while visiting the office. This memory is bonded in my mind because I continue to feel that way today. Even today, it continues to feel like my very first day and it’s getting more and more exciting as the days move along!

How do you describe eChalk to your friends and family?

Wow! That’s how I would describe eChalk to my friends and family. I always seem “oh-so-happy” to my friends and family, as if I don’t “work.” Whenever I have conversations about work, my job description is all over my face.

What surprised you most about working at eChalk?

The leadership! What company recognizes, praises and encourages its employees every Monday morning? From my experience, it was a surprise to meet every Monday morning and I love our weekly Monday morning meetings!

Tell us what you look forward to most at eChalk.

I look forward to a new training day! Every day is always new and exciting because I get to travel and meet such interesting customers on a regular basis. It’s exciting to see how the company works hard to stay up-to-date on emerging technology that impacts education. The future of eChalk continues beyond the walls of the traditional classroom and that makes me eager to see where our eChalk adventures will lead us next.
