eChalk @ ISTE: New Release Translates Into 51 Languages, Online Community Portal Debuts

Denver, CO – June 28, 2010 – eChalk, the pioneer of web-based learning platforms for communication and collaboration in K-12 school communities, is inviting ISTE 2010 conference participants to visit Booth 1250 to meet fellow eChalkers, learn about new product and service developments and join its social media community for a chance to win one of 3 iPads (to be given away each afternoon during the show).

eChalk Nation
eChalk Nation is an integrated online environment where eChalkers – and all of those passionate about social learning and learning platforms – can connect, collaborate and share ideas using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and/or blogging. ISTE participants who plug into “the nation” can also put on their thinking caps for a chance to win an iPad, either by participating in a tweetaway trivia contest on June 28 and 29, or by posting creative pictures with a special e-Man postcard to Twitter and/or Facebook before the exhibit hall closes on Wednesday.

Summer 2010 Release
eChalk’s latest release features new tools to streamline communication and engage all students and parents that schools serve. With the latest edition, school and district websites and email to and from teachers, students and parents can now be translated into 51 different languages – the most extensive language translation of any learning platform in the K-12 market. To enhance their exclusive partnership with PropellShops whereby schools can fundraise by selling on-demand branded merchandise – such as t-shirts, mugs, hoodies and more – directly from their websites, eChalk is launching a new professional branding service to help schools and districts enhance community engagement with a compelling logo and identity across their online and offline properties.

Booth 1250
On the tradeshow floor, eChalk’s booth will offer non-stop “anti-demo” workshops where educators can try out eChalk hands-on as a teacher, student or parent with our expert professional learning team. A special eChalkTALK wall allows attendees to get a cupcake for writing down their thoughts about what LMS means to them, how they define learning management and/or how they communicate and collaborate in their school communities. eChalk users and administrators from around the country will be in and around eChalk’s booth to provide real life examples of how they have applied eChalk in their classrooms and communities. Dr. Roland Rios, Director of Instructional Technology from Fort Sam Houston ISD in San Antonio, who has received national attention for his district’s ability to keep deployed parents engaged in their student’s work via eChalk, will be in the booth for the duration of the show.

eChalktails
Join the eChalk team and eChalkers from around the country for signature blue drinks and light appetizers before you head out for the evening. Stop by Earl’s Downtown Denver (http://www.earlsdowntowndenver.com) on 16th Street by Glenarm (just a few blocks from the convention center) between 5:30 and 7:30 PM on Tuesday, June 29. Bring your conference badge for admission.
