Professional Learning

"Staff development" is a thing of the past. We know that successful professional learning is an ongoing process of growth and development that occurs naturally as a result of truly effective professional development. Educators continue to learn on a daily basis after formal training is over, using and expanding on the knowledge and skills they have acquired to enhance their own individual performance, as well as to support the goals of their schools and the larger community.

Professional learning with eChalk is unique for three key reasons:

  • The experience and dedication of our instructors (an awesome band of road warriors who are eChalk experts extraordinaire)
  • Our wide array of in-depth course offerings (customized for your teachers, administrators or even students and parents)
  • Our single-minded focus on ensuring your school or district’s success (we're there to make sure you get the results you're looking for)

One Size Doesn't Fit All

When it comes to meeting the complex needs of each K-12 school or district, impersonal or one-size-fits-all approaches to professional development cost a lot of money, waste a lot of time and just don’t get the job done. No two districts are alike and each and every member of your staff—from superintendents, to principals, to teachers—has a different level of technological experience, as well as different needs, skills and objectives.

Our comprehensive catalog of online and onsite professional learning programs (it's a pretty heavy little compendium) can be customized to create a professional learning plan that fits the specific goals and needs of your school or district. Our onsite Professional Learning team doesn’t just teach your educators the nuts and bolts of how to use eChalk—we teach them how these tools can be integrated into the school culture and classroom experience to improve teaching and learning and help everyone drive both job satisfaction and academic achievement. if you can be more efficient and successful at what you do, you'll be happier doing it.

A Focus on Success

Basic Skills

Entry level workshops and courses, such as Getting Started with eChalk and Using eChalk to Develop Effective Class Pages, quickly get you up and running with eChalk's core capabilities and ensure that everyone is proficient in using the system and all of its tools.

Integration

Beyond basics, we offer rigorous in-depth courses, like Using eChalk to Design Online Learning Projects, which focus on showing teachers and staff how to creatively and successfully integrate K-12 curriculum into eChalk to extend learning and instruction beyond the classroom.

Leadership and Mentoring

Districts and schools can also provide ongoing job-embedded support for teachers and schools with our Teacher Study Group and eChalk Leadership Team programs.

Customization is Key

At all levels, we can customize our programs further to fit your specific needs, such as using eChalk to support a new reading initiative or to distribute standards materials. We offer specialized training for Site Managers, teachers and principals and train leadership teams to direct and monitor change.

“The online classrooms provide an easy way for teachers to post lesson plans, homework assignments and class information. The format is so easy—our teachers love it!”
