eChalk service is eligible under the Internet Access category of service, a Priority One service. Specifically, eChalk offers email and web hosting services within the Internet Access category.

How does eChalk determine its overall eligibility?

eChalk contains some ineligible pieces, such as personal file storage and web templates. Because of this, we are required to do a cost allocation to determine the eligible percentage of our service. Each year, eChalk goes through a formal process with the SLD to review our service and its components, review the cost allocation process we’ve developed and confirm our final eligibility percentage. That information is then put on file for the PIA team to access during their reviews.

Does eChalk offer other services that are eligible for an E-Rate discount?

Yes. eChalk offers Onsite Administrator Training which is designed for the small group of individuals at a school or district site that will be primarily managing the eChalk system. This is not end-user training.

Does eChalk offer other services that are NOT eligible for an E-Rate discount?

Yes. Some of those services include Professional Learning, Custom Website Design, Essential Support and more.
