Application Web Designer
Responsibilities
- Creating prototypes and designing the graphics, site navigation, and layout of content for new features within the application.
- Creating logos and/or other graphic materials that match the design requested by clients and/or product development.
- Ensuring that the layout and design of content is accessible, intuitive; and consistent.
- Using technologies that conform to international standards and ensuring that designs are universally accessible.
- Assisting in the maintenance of existing .Net and ASP features.
- Fixing bugs and defects under tight deadlines.
Reporting
The Application Web Developer reports to the Product Manager.
Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Design, or related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Web design for Web-based applications.
- Must be self-disciplined, able to start projects on own, and to deliver in a fast-paced multi-project environment under tight deadlines and production schedules.
- Extensive experience working with Photoshop, Flash, JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, ASP, ASP.NET.
- Experience designing user interfaces.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work well with members of various departments.
- Exceptional attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving.
- Familiarity working with a source control system, such as TFS, CVS or VSS.
- Knowledge of, and demonstrated experience working with, cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Netscape, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
- Experience working on a Mac platform.
